Welcome to the Greys Coarse Fishing Website. 2006 was a great year for Greys – again we saw our key products win some of the fishing tackle industry’s most prestigious awards. The cutting-edge Platinum™ 50 Carp rod won the best new rod at EFTTEX (the European Fishing Trade Association international show) beating competition from around the globe. To add to this, at its trade debut the exiting new X-Flite+™ Carp rod series received best Carp product at the DHP Tackle and Guns Trade show. Winning such awards, we feel, is a testament to the design development that is put into each and every one of our products. Designed and developed really are the two key words that play such a major part in the Greys product range. The design takes place amongst all the hustle and bustle at our head office in Alnwick, England. By having parallel brands all based under one roof, such as Hardy, Greys and Chub, as well as Hardy Advanced Composites, we are able to draw upon expertise ranging from rapid prototyping rooms, to designers who usually work on aeronautical and secret military projects. It’s amazing where the technology we use in our rods comes from! Add to this some of the latest computer technology such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and you can see that we leave nothing to chance. We have one of the best design resources in the world of fishing. 2007 sees extensions to the Platinum™ Carp rod range. These are now available in 50mm butt guide versions. The X-Flite Carp has now been superseded by the new X-Flite+™. These are also available in both 40mm & 50mm guide versions. A 42” complementary net has also been developed which features our new patented Max Lock spreader block. The Prodigy™ net range also sees introductions of 36” & 50” versions. In order to accommodate the ever-increasing number of new product introductions, you will notice we have adopted a slightly different format which we hope will provide easier reference and provide more technical info about our range of products. Enjoy the website and enjoy your fishing! Richard Sanderson Managing Director Hardy & Greys Limited |
