Lee, from Warwickshire began fishing aged 7 years old on the canals around the Warwickshire area, before winning junior matches and competing with adults in the club circuit.
Lee started fishing waters including Barston in Sollihull and Spring Pools, winning the Intersite individual at Barston in 2006 and coming 4th in the final of the Stafford Moore Mania in 2007.
Lee loves fishing waters with Skimmers and Carp in and his favourite methods are method feeder, and fishing paste on the pole. For silvers he likes to fish caster shallow.

"Well, what can I say about the weather we have had since before christmas? I think I have only managed to get out on a handfull of occasions , and because of this my box and rigs that I have tied for the season ahead are looking great! I just hope this awfull weather decides to give it a rest , and starts to warm up soon!! The Matches I have managed to fish have been very hard indeed with alot of low weights and even blanks!
"2009 was a good a year for me. Top of the bill was winning the Total-fishingclub.com world series final. This is something that is being organised again this year and full details are on the www.total-fishingclub.com website. I will also be taking part in the Division 2 national under the total-fishing banner on the Erewash Canal at Nottingham. I have not fished the canals for some years now, and a friend of mine has slowly been talking me back into it, and for the remainder of this winter I can see myself fishing some of the great matches that are held up on the Coventry Canal in the Coventry city center. Just the other week, 38lb won the match with good backing weights, and 25 of the anglers out of the 30 or so that fished all had over 5lb of roach each! Not bad fishing concidering they all smashed through 3 inches of Ice to get to them!
"Over the year I will also be doing some features on the www.ukmatchangler.com web site. This site is is used as an information center for the modern day angler and is full of usefull information regarding the latest tackle and events in the UK.
"My Matches at Dog lLne are still taking place but, due to the weather and the Ice, some have been cancelled and will have to be rebooked so hopefully I will be able to give you more info on how I'm doing down there. The last time I think we were sitting in 4th place in the league and with 3 matches remaining its still anyones league!
"I will be back at Dog Lane this weekend .....I'm now sitting here wondering if its going to happen though , as I'm writing this its chucking it down with snow outside!! God I hate the snow!"

"The 25th October was the first round of the Silvers Only Doglane Pairs Winter League! My partner in crime was again my dad, Keith Taylor. We fished this winter league last year and finished 2nd overall.
"Doglane is a water in Napton Village near Rugby, it holds a good head of silvers, roach, skimmers, chub ect but also has alot of carp which are normally hard to avoid in the earlier matches.
"We all met up for the draw and of coarse the traditional fishermans breakfast down at the boat pub by the napton canal. There was a good standard of anglers fishing again this year so we knew with some good draws and tidy fishing we were going to have our work cut out!! I drew peg 5 which I had practiced on the other day and my dad drew peg 27 which is one of the unfavoured areas of the lake.
"I already had in mind what I wanted to do and that was to set two lines up at 13 meters, one at 2 oclock and one at 10 oclock. On my left hand line I started the session by cupping in 3 balls of the new bagem silvers groundbait we are working on and to my right, my normal silvers mix which won me alot of con last year! On line I was going to feed caster over the top with the catty and hopefully catch them shallow. The problem was I had the sun smack in my face for the first 45 mins of the match so had to settle on my left and line for the first hour, which only produced the odd small roach.
"The wind was causing all anglers alot of problems and fishing shallow proved to be difficult for most, but I still carried on once the sun had moved and I could see what I was doing.
"For 3 hourrs of the match I put 45 roach in the net , and in the last hour I started to struggle to even get a bit? I went back down on the deck and hooked a carp of 4lb!! Then hooked another! The carp had moved in and the roach had gone! For the last hour I swapped and changed things on my two lines but could only hook the odd roach, or be carped out. I finished the match with around 50 roach.
"At the weigh in I had put 7lb 10 oz on the scales- this had beaten the two guys to my left and the 6 to my right, so I felt that I had got the most out of my peg with the difficult wind conditions. Further round though I had got ounced for 2nd in the section and 8lb 10oz did me for my section so I finished 3rd overall in the section.
"My Dad managed around 80 roach for 5lb odd and also had problems with carp. Overall on the day we finished 5th with us only being 3 points off 2nd and 6 points off 3rd.
"The winning weight on the day was 11lb 15 oz of perch and skimmers. 2nd was 11lb 2oz , and 3rd was 10lb consisting of 4 big perch and some bits...
"There is five more matches to go so theres along way to go. My next match will be part of the Doglane individual matches , which run every 2 weeks about from the pairs......"

"On the 10th October I was heading for the Fantastic Mallory park Glebe fishery Based in Leicestershire. This was for the final of the www.total-fishingclub.com world series. To get into the final you had to get a selection win on one of the selected qualifiers. I managed to Qualify at Cudmoore Fishery earlier in the year so secured my place in the final.
"The the final was held on Glebe Pool 1. It has 30 pegs, and was pegged every other peg. One of the most important thing you can do when preping for a match like this is talk to the regulars on the venue. I was lucky enough to know young Jarrad smith, who is one of the venue experts up there, and knows more than most about the Glebe. From what Jarrad told me it was an all out attack on the feeder, and most important to stick with it!
"We did the draw at the Mallory Park Cafe after a superb Breakie , and I pulled peg 22? This meant nothing to me but Jarrad had told me before the best feeder pegs were 15-19. Just out I thought so I was on the phone to Jarrad to find out about my peg.
"I got up to my peg and looked at my far bank feature which was covered in reeds and weeds going down into the water, so my plan was to cast in under the far growth after abit of gardening. I set up my 2x 12 ft G-Tec Feeder rods with a simple cage feeder setup. The plan of attack was to fish 2mm Bagem feed pellets through the feeder and either punched hairigged meat or bunches of red maggot on the hook.
"I also set up a pole line at 13 meters and down the margin and these were my two throw away lines if the feeder was not to produce. All I was going to feed on the two lines was hemp and corn, and lots of it.
"I started off on the feeder chucking it within inches of the far bank where I had to keep recasting every minute to get the feed in and draw the carp in. I started off on punch meat, and my first carp of 8lb came after my 4th chuck. Mike Burrrows who was next to me had already got two in the net and was soon putting a string of fish together. After an hour and a hlf of fishing I had got 6 carp in the net and Mike had got 12. I was getting battered?? Something had to change , and I was gettin plenty of liners, so knew the fish were there on the feeder line.
"I was fishing a 20 inch hooklength, so changed to a longer hook length and put 4 dead reds on the hook. I recast out and never looked back, the tip just kept on going round, and I was back in the game again! Mike came off his feeder line and Gaz Wood next to me did the same , which left this line all for me. So I got my head down and continued to plough the feed in, recasting every 2 minutes if I did not have a bite. At one point I couldn't even sink the line without the tip ripping round, and with fishing going anything between 4lb and 12 lb my 12ft G-Tec Feeder rod handled everything with ease!!
"When the whistle went I was playing my last fish of the day and was thinking I had around 130lb in the net. I walked to the weigh in which started from the other end and the 1st big weight that came up was from Rob Austin who had 122lb. The next big weigh was from Jamie Adcock , who had 131lb ....
"There was then a couple more 100lb weights and then it was my turn. My first net went 80lb , and my secoud was 76lb which came to 156lb in total and a match win!! I was over the moon!! This was a great match, and in great company. I would just like to thank Gareth Purnell for running it!! I had the choice of a holiday for two, to watch the world champs in spain next year or a £500 cash prize!! It didn't take me long to choose!! lol

"As some of you are aware, I have alot to do with the Internet sites and, one of the events which I always enjoy doing is the Intersite series. This is where the fishing forums battle it out over the years at differnet venues over the country. However, we also have an Individual at Barston on the later summer months which normaly pulls in a good crowd of anglers and the banter to follow....
"I was lucky enough to win this event in 2006 and and the follwing years - I managed a top 5 placing each time so was always close to getting the double!
"60 anglers fished the event in 2009 at the fantastic venue, Barston Lakes in the Midlands. Barston hosts some fantastic events and, with Nigel Harry in the driving seat it is turning into one of the best match waters in the country with good mixed bags of fish - Skimmers and carp being the main target!!
"At the draw , I pulled peg 53 which is not one of the noted flyer pegs but I had my chance of a section pick up! When getting to my peg I set up 3 lines. First was my method line which would be at 50 yards so I set up my 12ft G-tec feeder. My next line of attack would be a short feeder chuck of 35 turns with a cage feeder, and hair rigged worm. My 3rd line would be at 13-14 meters on the pole where this would be an all out chopped worm and caster attack.
"I started the session by feeding two balls of Crushed x-pander by Bagem baits. with Choppie and caster and let that settle. I then went out on the method to see if I could pick off a mugg carp or two. On the method I fished 2mm dampend Bagem Micros with a Bagem white choc bolie. Within 2 minutes the tip went round and I had my first fish of a pound. Not what I really wanted , but it was a start. I went out again , recasting every 4-6 mins , and did not see a sign of another fish so then come in on the pole line.
"On the pole at Barston two of the key things to do is run the float at them , if you have towe then use it , and to make noise so feed over the top with a catty or drop in with a kinder pot from a height. The skimmers love this , and with them now reaching 1lb -2lb a piece there well worth targetting , and 60lb weights are not uncommon at Barston. Today though was not one of them days and no matter what I did all I could do was find roach on the pole, but there was not enough of them there to do any damage. I had caught more than most around me with the anglers either side of me struggling to get a bite on the pole.
"Half way through the match I decided to go on my 35 turn line and packed my feeder with caster and plugged it with crushed xpander. I was using my 11ft G-tec feeder rod with a 1.5 oz glass tip. This is my favourite rod - it has a lovely through action on it and has so far handled everything I have thrown at it from baggin big carp to playing in skimmers and silvers without bumping them off. On my 3rd chuck I had a skimmer of 2lb and then an F1 of 8oz , after that the more casters I run through the feeder the more the bites come and it was a mixture of skimmers and F1's to the end of the match.
"I finished the match with 32lb , and a section win. Overall on the day I think I finished in the top 10 somewhere , so was happy with what I did to get my section. The anglers either side of me weighed 15lb odd so I did as much as I could.
"Going back over my match I would have said I should have looked on that 35 turn line earlier, so leason learnt there! If you aint catching, change something, dont just sit on your hands!"

"22nd August , I was taking part in the ACA / Angling Trust Masters at Mallory Park Glebe fishery. 18 Teams of six were battling it out to take the top spot and with anglers such as Steve Ringer , Darren Cox and Des Shipp, it was not going to be easy!
"I captained two teams from www.total-fishingclub.com which have supported the ACA/Angling Trust , for some time now. This is something we believe every angler should join and be involved in!
"I went up and drawed for our two teams , and let my teams know what pegs they were on for the day. I drew Big lake 5 which is the central lake to the actual Mallory Park race track, so knew I was in for a noisey day and abit of entertainment if the fishing lost the plot......
"I was on Peg 3 on Big lake, which was the bank that did not really produce last year with only 30lb winning that bank. The glebe fish seem to repond to noise and if you ball it big time, and fish shallow you can normally pull them in from the other anglers around you so this was line one. Line two was to my left and margin with corn and hem , and lots of it, and line 3 was a feeder chuck at 45 yrds with 2mm Baggem feed pellets, chilli hemp and punched meat soaked in salmon and garlic oil.
"I was in a very difficult section and with the likes of Adam Rooney next to me on peg 1 ( A noted flyer) :¬) and Gary Thorpe I knew it was going to be a difficult match to try and win my section to get good team points.
"I started the match by putting 12 in large balls of Bagem super green goundbait laced with corn and hemp and crushed hemp and started firing 6mm Bagem feed pellets over the top. I then fed my margin lines and started on my shallow line. After 10 mins I had my first carp in the net and that was it for an hours fishing! There was fish there but I could not understand why I wasn't catching. I looked up and down the bank and everyone was the same with only the odd fish coming out. So I decided to chuck the feeder and see if the fish were more confident in having ago out there. I was using my 11ft G-Tec feeder rod, with a 1.5oz glass tip, which has a cracking through action , but also has plenty of back bone for the bigger fish. I chuked the tip every minute and on my 6th chuck the tip went round and carp number 2 was in the net. I was finding that every 5th chuck produced a fish and I was catching more than the anglers around me as they also continued to struggle.
"As the feeder line was producing I was reluctant to move off it but, as I had been feeding my pole line for the whole match I saw some more confident swirls on my 13 meter line and finished the match on that, pickinh up two more fish.
"I finished the match with 52lb, with the angler to my left weighing 15lb, and the angler to my right, 29lb. The next weight down on my bank had 40lb off the end peg. I was really pleased with that and a section win and good team points. I had fished a tidy match and done everything possible.
"On the day my team finished 8th out of 18 teams so we didn't disgrace ourselves and put up a good fight! Team Guru won the day overall, with Phil ringer winning the 1st place postion with 151lb.
"£1400 was raised on the day for the Angling Trust in raffle money and new memberships for the Angling Trust, which as said above is a very worthwhile cause to protect angling for now and the future!
"I'm off to Barston again this week and its been fishing really well so I am looking forward to it!"

"Saturday 15th August saw me at Makins fishery in Wolvey, Near Leicester. This was another round of the www.total-fishingclub.com world series qualifiers. I have already qualified for the final, but I took on the role running this match. The final will take place in October at Mallory parks Glebe fishery!!
"We were on lake 2 on phs 1, which is known for its weights on the method feeder! I drew peg 11B which runs down the left hand bank along the 1st island. The wind was howling straight at me, and then from left to right so I knew being accurate on the method feeder was going to be difficult.
"I set up two 12ft G-tec feeder rods and clipped up tight to the far bank which was 40 yrds away but with the wind it was more like a 60yrd chuck. I then set up my new 11ft G-tec float 4 piece compact rod with the pellet wag in mind, but would only fish this if the wind dropped. On the pole line I opted to fish short, at just 7 meters at the bottom of the shelf, and a long margin line at 13 meters. I set up my Greys Prototype pole, hoping to catch some lumps in the last hour!!
"The whistle went and I started by feeding my two pole lines with a tin of corn each and 2 pints of Bagem Hemp and left those lines to settle. I then went out on the method feeder and as expected it was difficult to hit the same spot twice with the wind playing up. I hooked two fish on the method but both were foul hookers , and came off.
"Gaz wood and Mike burrows to my left both managed to put some fish in the net in the first 45 minutes and it was then that I saw a huge swirl over my margin pole line so the rod went up the bank and out came the pole. I went straight down the edge with a single grain of the Giant pinapple corn and laid the rig in 2 ft off the bank. within a minuite the float burried , and Carp number one was in the net at 7lb!! Result!! I went ack out , had a couple of miised bites , so pulled all my shot down to just 2 inchs away from the hook and fished 1 inch over depth , my next bite ripped the elastic out of the pole and number 2 Carp was in the net again at around the 7lb mark.
"I fished my two pole lines for the rest of the day with my biggest Carp coming out at 13lb and my Greys Prototype pole , handled everything with ease!! I finished the match with 16 carp and a bream for 93lb and 2 nd overall. Gaz wood won the day with 25 carp for 114lb and has now also qualified for the final!!
"I'm at the Glebe this coming saturday in the ACA / Angling Trust masters, where sixteen teams of six will be battling out to take the crawn of this very worth while match!! A full report of the day will follow!!

"There is a water near Rugby called Toft, that of late has been throwing up some weights, so I thought I would chance my arm and go down and have a go. The normal method down at Toft is paste short on the pole, and with the majority of the fish only averaging 12oz to the 1lb mark I knew I had to be busy to build up a weight.
"The venue has only been open for 2 years, and I have always fancied it being a pellet wag water so I deiced to give it a go. I drew peg 36 which is one peg off the island, and I was the only one not to draw an island peg! I knew that there were bigger stamp fish on the island so knew from the start that I had to put even more fish in the net.
"I set up two pellet wag rods and a short pole for the paste just incase the pellet wag didn't happen. With the size of the fish being small I opted for 6mm Bagem Carp pellets with a banded 8mm Bagem coarse pellet on the banded hair. My choice of rod was the 13ft G-Tec float rod , with a shimano 40000 reel with 4lb G-tec black mono. I find this line superb on the pellet wag as it allows me to see where the line is when playing fish in bright conditions.
"For the first 10 minuites of the match I just sat there feeding my pellet wag line, and within 5 minutes I could see swirls on the surface so opted for the 13ft G-tec rod set at 10inch depth. I put out around 10 6mm at a time and casted straight over the top of my feed. Within seconds of the pellet wag hitting the water the float buried and I was into what was first of many stockie Carp...
"I didn't have to feed alot and only went through 3pints of Bagem 6mm and a handfull of bagem 8mm. I proceeded to Bag up for 5 hrs and landed 92 carp for 109lb 8oz and a new venue record I later found out!!
"The other weights on the match which were all caught on the short pole on paste were 108lb, 100lb 10oz and 100lb 8oz. Since writing this though the record has gone twice more and now stands at 134lb, so I need to get back down there and claim my prize once again!
"I'm at Nigel Harrys venue in a couple of weeks at Barston , on the Barston Bowl. This is one of my favourite venues , so I will let you know how I get on!"

"It was the www.total-fishingclub.com websites two day festival at Mallory parks Glebe complex. I was running this match, with some of the other members of the site and this was also a two day charity match for the angling trust. The main aim of this match was to raise as much money as possible! Just to skip ahead between 60 anglers we raised between £2400 and I have to say that I think in the times we are in this is a fantastic amount raised by a great bunch of blokes!!
"On day one I drew Foundation peg 12. I had never drawn this lake but I have always heard of what a nice lake it is to fish and that it is absolutely full of fish! When we approached the lake on the lower numbers near the car park it was like fish soup and, as we walked further up the lake the colour started to drop out of the water and there were very little signs - you can only guess where I had drawn!
"So, with and island at 30 yards away, I set up my 11ft G-tec feeder rod, with an open ended feeder to attack this line with The super Green bagem groundbait and bagem hemp. My plan of attack was to recast every minute with a long tail and a bunch of red maggots on the hook with a slow fall. My second line was the pole and an all out shallow attack was on the cards. With 5ft depth in front, I set my Greys Prototype pole up at 13 meters with 3 rigs of 3ft, 2ft and 1ft and I started the session off by balling in 12 big balls of Super Green bagem groundbait laced with 2 pints of hemp and 2 pints of caster. I then went on the feeder and whilst fishing the feeder I started to feed my shallow line with full pouches of encourage the Carp. Foundation responds very well to noise.
"After 30 minutes on the tip without a fish I switched to my shallow line where the fish were queuing up and over the next 4 hrs I proceeded to put together 102lb of fish for a section 3rd. I lost the fish for around an hour but was happy that I beat the Guys to the left and right of me by a clear 50lb of fish!
"Day 2 saw me draw Uglies peg 61 and I soon found out that the angler on there the day before had only weighed 16lb and was told it was not the favoured area of the lake. Now I had my work cut out. The fish in uglies are all huge and when I got to my peg one cruised past me at around 20lb. Again I set up the Greys pole at 13 meters and opted to fish shallow, but this time with pellet. I also went in with the 11ft G-tec feeder but this time a pellet wag rod was assembled as well. I opted to start on the pellet wag rod and soon found this was a mistake as the guys to the left and right of me were into fish of around 10lb each on their first cast and then on their second chuck as well. I put out my feeder rod and as I was sinking the line , the rod arched round and a 8lb common was soon in the net. I had 3 more fish in the first half hour of around 5-6lb each and then we all started to struggle as the sun got up. I then opted for the pole and for the rest of the session took the odd fish on the deck on paste and also shallow. At the end of my session I weighed 12 Carp at 86lb and beat the anglers to my left and right, coming 2nd in my section and 3rd on the lake.
"Over the two day's I had the best weight off my pegs and beat the anglers either side of me both days, so I felt I had got the most out of my peg both days with the draws that I had. Using one of the new Greys Prototype poles was great, and gave them a real work out - they handled with such ease!
"On the Sunday I was up at Boddington Reservoir and I drew peg 51. I was met by the angler who had fished it on the BW stillwater qualifier the day before and guess what, he had blanked! Great, I thought, another grueller?! I asked him how he had fished it and why he thought he did not catch and he told me that the angler on 52 had 6 Carp out over the match but was chucking it 70yrds plus so this give me my plan of attack.
"I set up two 12 ft G-Tec rods to fish the method feeder at 80 yrds as this seemed to be where the fish were being caught the day before. I started the Match at around 65 yrds and thought the fish would move out as they normally do. How wrong could I have been! Nearly all the angler's around me had put a Carp or two in the net but I stuck to my guns hoping the Carp would move in, but it just was not going to happen. With 2 hrs left I dropped in at 45 yrds , and after ten minutes the tip went around to my Bagem 2mm pellet method feeder with my white Bagem choccy boilie. My bites then came every 10 minutes or so and I had a further 5 Carp and lost 2 around 40lb and 3rd in my section.
"I'm fishing an open this coming Sunday at a venue called Killworth Sticks near Leicester. It's all pole work , with pellet and paste and I haven't fished the venue before, so I'm really looking forward to it!!

"Today I'm fishing a match at Boddington Res not far from Drayton Res. It's a charity match in Aid of a very good cause, Macmillan cancer care. There were 60 anglers fishing and the pegs were from 40 up to 100 in the bird sanctuary. The favoured area is from the late 80's through to 100, and match winning weights are normally needed in excess of 100lb to win your section.
"However, weights over the last two weeks have dropped and it has been noticed that the late 50's through to 60's are the better pegs but the winning weights are coming out at only 80lb-100lb.
"For this match I prepared a Greys 12ft G-Tec Bomb Rod for long chucks of up to 80 yards and a Method Rod for chucks upto 60 yards. My third rod was a 11ft G-tec Feeder Rod for fishing the Bomb at 30 yards with 8mm Bagem pellets..
"At the draw I was lucky enough to draw peg 98 up in the Bird sanctuary so I was quick to get to my car to get down to the Res, as its a massive walk up to the far end of Boddington. When I got there I found that the boats on the res were already very active, so I new I had to be carefull with my casting and keep changing the distances I was casting for when the fish backed off from the boats moving over the top of them. I quickly went about setting up and getting myself ready, when I had Omar from Kobra feeders come and sit on the next peg. Omar is a superb method angler so I knew I had my work cut out with him pegged next to me!
"My plan of attack was method with 2mm Bagem pellets around the Feeder with a white bagem choccy boilie, or dead red maggot on the hook. This will be fished at 50 yrds , and then a longer line with the bomb and Pva bag again with bagem 2mm pellets and bagems supergreen groundbait. this would be for when I felt the fish had backed off. My final line will be at 30 yrds with the bomb and 8mm bagem pellet.
"The horn went and I started on the Method Feeder, and I decided to recast every 20 minutes. This is a method that works well at Boddington this time of year on matches as the fish never really seem to settle and feed so its more of a case of catching passing fishing. I had my first Carp of around 5lb on my first chuck after 15 minuites. I quickly went back out again and only had to wait 6 minutes for my 2nd fish, another Carp of 5lb. My next bite came after an hour, and that was how the match went with me catching odd fish throughout the match with two that went around 8lb each. I finished the match landing 9 of the 11 Carp I hooked with 53lb 8oz, and winning my section - coming fourth overall. I had alot of trouble with boats going over my baited area , and feel that myself and Omar would have put alot bigger weight together if they would not have been there. I tried the abaomb through the day when it went quiet but did not have anything, and found the fish to be sitting only on my method line.
"Once it warms up some more, I'm sure big weights will be had so I'm now looking forward to the Boddington Masters which is being held over the next 5 months!"

"With the venueholding so many small Roach, my main attack was to have 3 lines on the pole -two at 13 metres placed at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock , and one at 5 metres at the bottom of the shelf.
"My approach would be to put 3x balls of groundbait in on each line laced with a pint of squat, half a pint of pinkie and half a pint of caster. This was to keep the fish grubbing throughout the session , and leaving me to top up via a kinder pot for accuracy to keep the fish tight.
"I then just went through the session rotating the 3 lines catching steady for the whole 5 hours. The weights I averaged were 5lb - 10lb , but on the last match I won it overall with a weight of 22lb of Roach caught shallow on the caster!The sun came out to play, and with a nice ripple on the water I knew I was in for a good day!
"Overall on the league my Dad and I came secound overall, and out of the 6 matches we had two 1st , two 2nds , and two further down the table. We weighed a total of 108lb of silvers over the 6 matches which was the top overall weight out of the pairs, and I had the top individual weight of the league with my 22lb of Roach.
"Mark williams of DHP and his partner, Dave Smith won the league overall and both fished a very tidy league either having a 1st or 2nd in there section on most rounds! It was my first time fishing this venue , so I will hopefully be back on it next winter for some more silvers action!
"The organiser of the winter league ran a match on the middle match lake at Doglane. In this match Carp was aloud, so I went all out for them on the method feeder. I used my 11ft G-Tec Feeder Rod with a 1.5 oz Glass tip , and moulded 2mm Bagem pellets around the feeder fishing double con on the hair. This rod has to be my favourite out of the G-Tec range , and I won the match with just under 30lb of small stockie Carp.
"As some of you may know I'm a member and keen organiser of the www.total-fishingclub.com website. We have organised a series of matches called the world series and which take place at some of the leading fisheries iver the country. To enter these matches you must first be a member of the total-fishingclub site. If you win your section you then Qualify throught to the final which will take place at the Glebe later in the year and who ever wins the Final, will win a trip to go and watch the world champs 2010.
"My first match was at Cudmoore fishery in Staffs. Again, this is a venue that I have neever seen before but have heard alot about. We were to be peggede on Suez Canal , which did not mean alot to me so I was quickly on the phone to people to get my info on what to do.
"When I drew my peg I was on peg 20. and with venue expert, Jeff Moores in my section I knew I had my work cut out. It was 14 meters with a lined bank of reeds, and on the far side I had 2ft!
"Down the track I had around 6ft and in the margins 2ft again. My attack was plain and simple and that was 2mm cudmoore pellet, with 4mm, and 6mm Bagem expanders.
"The lake I was fishing holds a good head of skimmers and F1's so I started the session with half a pot of pellet , and corn on each line with a chop worm line down the track. When the whistle went I potted in and on my first put in I was soon in to small skimmers. I kinderpotted my way through the match to keep fishing scoming 6oz to 1.5lb and finished the match with a weight of 25lb and a section win which has now put me through to the final later this year.
"I will also be fishing the other rounds as they will be great matches to attend , so if you fancy having ago , get yourself joined up to the total-fishing website!
"I'm off upto Boddington soon on the Boddington Masters , and then the Glebe Two Day Festival!! I will keep you posted on my results!"
